It's a simple cause to bring clean water to those without it, and also my birthday wish! Please join me.

Dear Friend and Family,

Last year, instead of birthday presents, I asked for donations to fund a water project in Ethiopia. The money we raised will provide 12 people clean drinking water.

This year, I'm hoping you can join me to celebrate another birthday and help bring the same essential resource to twice as many people!

I've asked for my age in dollars, although any amount you feel comfortable giving with help towards reaching that goal.

So please don't buy me anything, New York apartments are very small and I've had too many drinks lately. Instead, join me on this mission or just simply say hello, because it would be great to hear from you!

A little blurb about why I chose charity: water

This is a cause I really believe in and if you take a moment to look at the information available on this website, I'm sure you will too. Most importantly, every bit of your financial support goes to those who need it, and the folks at charity: water go out of their way to prove that. The Ethiopia project from last years campaign is underway, scheduled for completion in a year, at which point all donors receive photos and GPS coordinates to the well.

In the past year, I've been able to volunteer for this organization to help capture World Water Day and charity: ball on camera. You'll probably see some of my work if you check out their videos.

There are lots of wonderful people involved in solving this problem around the world. For me, embracing technology to facilitate this process and make it more efficient, as well as the scale of operation are the reasons that set this organization apart.
