On 9/11/2010, I'm turning 24.
At first, I thought about the gifts I was going to get this year.
But by chance I found out that millions of people don't live to see their 5th birthday. Why? Because they didn't have access to clean, safe water.
So, I've decided that I'm giving my birthday up to Charity:water!
I'm asking for $24 (or any other amount) from everyone I know - and every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund freshwater wells in developing nations. Even better, every dollar is "proved" when the projects are complete, and photos and GPS coordinates are posted using Google Earth.
My goal is to raise $500 by my birthday, 9/11/2010, although the campaign itself will last for 3 months.
Please consider helping the kids who have no clean water to drink, and have fun at the same time!
