Last year, I started a campaign with which I finished past my goal, sending clean water to a community and giving them more stability. An easily granted staple, clean water actually does more than feeding our thirst. Aside from it being a necessity for our survival, making sure clean water is available to us by managing our resources is an ability puts the first world a step ahead in terms of resource security.
Through my experience with charity: water, I have learned that my fundraising has brought people in Sierra Leone and Cambodia not just clean water, but the ability to secure its resource through the building of wells and fundamentally empowering the communities economically. With the help of my family and friends (and the kind anonymous folk), I have been able to surpass my goal last year and this year, I request you to help me reach my goal, a challenge I have set for myself. And all of it goes to helping another community achieve resource and economic stability, an effort in progress.
I believe that if someone has the ability to help, they must exercise that power because as a smile can change someone's life, donating a cent to a cause as genuine as this reminds us of the impact that comes from an act of humanity.
