Every day, 5,000 kids under the age of 5 die from water-related illnesses. I'm gonna help change that!

Most of you know that I work for a company in Salt Lake called CLEARLINK. I've worked here for 2.5 years and I LOVE it! I love the work I do, the friends I've made, learning opportunities, and the company's involvement in the community and charities. Some of you know we participate in the Race for the Cure, but you may not know that we are involved in countless other volunteer and fundraising opportunities. A new partnership we added this year is called charity: water. I am very excited about this event and charity.
charity: water works to raise money to build community-owned water projects around the world. 100% of the donations go to fund these projects. They have helped fund nearly 12,000 water projects which have provided 4.1 million people with clean water.
We are very excited about the partnership and have a goal to raise $50,000 to build a sustainable water project for Rwanda. After the projects is complete we will also be making sure that it continues to provide clean water. We're going to do this by working together as a company to build teams and raise the money with the help of family and friends. The teams we are creating will be participating in the CLEARLINK Walk4Water. It will be a relay walk from Las Vegas to our office in Salt Lake beginning September 28th. Right now people in Rwanda walk tens of miles and in some cases hours to gather water for themselves and their families. The water they are gathering isn't even clean, but they have no other option than to collect the water from streams shared with cattle and full of other waste. The water they are drinking does more harm than good. It doesn't have to be that way.
