Challenge.
That's the word that keeps coming up when I mention participating in a Half Ironman.
Bikes. Shoes. GU. And one other ingredient.
Water.
It's an essential part of any triathlete's training.
So important, it's provided every mile of the run.
Cold. Crisp. Clean.
This week, every week, millions of women and their children travel more than 14 miles just to get water for their families.
That's farther than a half marathon. Once a week. While carrying a 50 pound gasoline can full of water.
Dark. Dirty. Diseased.
But we can change that.
250 people. Each contributing just $20.
Coincidentally, there are over 250 MALE participants currently signed up for this year's Buffalo Springs Lake Triathlon alone.
Imagine if they got their supporters in on it.
Then imagine if the FEMALE participants did the same.
$20. That's less than the cost of a bike tuneup. An oil change. Dinner for two at Applebee's.
Yet because of the structuring of charity:water, 100% of that $20 goes DIRECTLY to providing water.
REAL change for REAL people.
$5000. Clean water for an entire village.
Are you up to the challenge?
*This campaign is open to ANY and ALL who would like to contribute, not strictly triathlon participants*
