Why Joshua Irving is fundraising for clean water

It's my 35th Birthday, and it's time to celebrate! I'd like to celebrate the fact that I'm am as fortunate as I am, and I don't really need (sure, there's stuff I want, but do I really NEED) any other material possessions. I want to celebrate people in other parts of the world who face challenges on a daily basis far greater than anything I typically experience. I want to celebrate the fact we all have an opportunity to help those people by providing access to life's second most essential need after the air we breath. WATER!!!

Every single penny donated to my birthday campaign goes straight to the actual projects. All you folks that are saying to yourself, "but Josh, you work for charity: water. Won't these donations help pay your salary?" I say NO!!! That's because of our 100% model. And as I'm one of the accountants at charity: water, I'd be more than happy to explain how that works! And, once my campaign closes and the money is sent to the field, you'll all get beautifully designed reports showing exactly how your money has helped.

So come on! Let's celebrate our good fortunes by helping others!

I love you all!
