I just came in from working in the yard and had a tall glass of nice clean water -- something that almost 1 Billion (with a B) in the world can’t do.

Millions contract deadly diseases from contaminated water. 30,000 people will die this week alone. The lucky ones won't, but still have to walk hours each day to get dirty water for their families.

I’ve been hearing about this charity that a few of my internet "friends" have been donating to. It’s great. 100% of all donations go directly toward water projects. And about 18 months after you make a donation charity: water shows you were and how your money helped others. You get GPS coordinates, photos and more details about the communities that you’ve impacted.

My birthday is coming up, and it got me thinking. I’ve got 243 Facebook friends that will be wishing me happy birthday in a couple of weeks. If they all gave just $5 we could bring clean water to over 60 people. What a great birthday present!

Every $20 can give ONE person clean water.

I set a pretty reasonable goal of only $1200 this year. I think that’s doable. Right? Won’t you join me in celebrating my birthday this year by helping someone else in a very real and important way?
