Hey cats and kittens,

So I'm turning 26 today. I usually don't like doing anything special on birthdays, but I'd like to make this year an exception. Instead of giving me gifts or throwing me any sort of sexy parties with ice cream and sprinkles, what would really make me happy this year is if my friends and family helped raise money to provide clean drinking water to communities around the world.

I was first introduced to charity: water several months ago when my friend Pablo started a birthday campaign to raise money for clean water. I was very happy to have participated in his campaign and couldn't help but fast-follow the idea with a campaign of my own. About 800 million people (1-in-9) do not have access to clean drinking water, but there are things we can do to make it so that that isn't so. 100% of all the money raised in my charity: water campaign will go towards solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world. Doesn't that sound great?
