I watched the documentary Blue Gold (which I highly suggest) and there was a quote in the opening that stuck with me. After describing the rather morbid effects of what happens to a person when they go only a week without water, the narrator makes this statement,

"Whatever one's environmental, political, or religious opinions, whatever one's race, sex, or economic standing, whomever of us goes without water for one week cries blood."

How true is that? Sometimes we get so caught up in our differences that we forget how in the end, we are all the same. We all need the same necessities to survive, and one of those is water.

Last year for my 25th birthday I made my first charity:water campaign. I set my goal for $200 and ended up raising $445! So this year I'm stepping it up and setting my goal for $400! So I'm asking everyone once again to give a little money to this charity that is so near and dear to my heart....$26 is my suggested donation :) but every little bit counts...a little can go a looooong way!
