On March 20, I'm turning 50 years old. To celebrate, I wanted to do something different. I don’t want presents or a party. I want to help people get clean water.

In 2011, I had the privilege of working at charity: water as their Acting CTO. It was a highlight of my career. I had the pleasure of working with great people building a new kind of non-profit that’s accountable, transparent, and effective – that saves people’s lives by funding water projects in developing countries around the world.

I always wanted to do a birthday campaign, and now’s the time. If you check out their videos, you’ll see all the great work they’ve accomplished. And if you feel moved, please donate to my birthday campaign!

The best part is that 100% of the money we raise will directly fund water projects, and when those projects are complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the impact we made. I can't think of a better birthday gift.
