Why Heather Halverson is fundraising for clean water

So, I'll be turning sixteen this year and I could think of a lot of things to ask for. The thing is, I don't really NEED any of it. This got me thinking, "What do people really need...?" and I thought of the most basic thing: water.

I looked around and found charity:water. Did you know that all 100% of donations will go to helping those who need clean water to get it? They find completely different ways to pay expenses and staff.

Back to the title though, it means that if I meet my goal ($1600), that would be enough to give 80 people clean water. That's only $20 per person! But what it actually is going to is a drilling rig. This lets even more wells be dug even faster helping even more people!

So, instead of presents I'm asking you to donate and help people who truly have a desperate need.
