For the 4th year in a row, help me make a change in this world. Clean water is attainable! We can help!
For the 4th year in a row, I am using my birthday to campaign for clean water. This year, 100% of donated dollars will go to a village in Kenya. More than 16 million people in Kenya lack access to clean water, and a growing population is making things harder.
In 2014, there is no good reason for people to be living in this world without the access to clean drinking water. It is a solvable problem. Please help to partner with me yet another year to bring clean water to communities that need it.
We often take for granted the fact that we can turn on the faucet and not only will there be running water, we trust it to be safe to consume. Many people in this world don’t have that luxury. We send children to schools to learn trusting that when they need to use a bathroom, it will be there for them to access so that they may go right back to learning. Many kids around the world cannot attend school and better their lives simply because they do not have access to a bathroom, especially for girls once they hit puberty.
Access to clean water can do so much to change the lives of those who have lived (and died) without it. From education about hygiene, promoting jobs and self-worth, to the obvious health benefits, clean water is a huge investment into making this world a better place for all to live in.
The stories of lives saved and changed by simple access to clean water and hygiene training are amazing! Please go back and look at my last 3 year's campaigns to see where money donated has gone to transform communities! Every dollar raised is sent into the field to bring communities a life changing opportunity! Please consider watching the attached video and reading their stories of lives changed. They are heart wrenching and uplifting!
Please consider giving what you can, even $5 can mean a lot. Something as small as $20 can give someone clean water for 20 years! Or how about an easy number: $31 to celebrate my 31derful!
I am hoping to meet my goal by my birthday (Feb 12th). However, if you cannot meet that date, my campaign will stay open through March 31st. And there are others that run year round. Or, you can get brave and create your own!
Thank you for helping me use my birthday to do something life changing!!
