Every day, 1,400 kids under the age of 5 die from water-related illnesses. Let's help change that!

My birthday is almost here and for the 5th year in a row, I'm asking YOU to help me use it to make a difference in the world. Millions of kids around the world don't live to see their fifth birthday because they don't have access to clean, safe drinking water. That is unacceptable. We can help change that.

Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 21 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.

**I would ask you to do a few things if you aren't familiar with charity: water. The obvious is to research this site which has great info on what this fundraising organization does and just how access to clean water can fully transform a community. But, I would urge you to:

1. Click on my face in the left hand corner and checking out all the water projects we have been able to be a part of. I, along with all of my generous donors, have been able to impact over 1,000 lives (when combined with other campaigns)! And that doesn't even include last year's funds yet (it takes about 21 months to get back info on how your money is used). Go look at the pictures. Go see what a measly $5, $10, $32, etc can do. Look at their pictures, read their stories. What better way to celebrate another year of life than by giving someone else a chance at life. We ALL need clean, safe water. Help give that to others.

2. If you haven't already, watch the video below. Educate yourself about the water crisis that still exists, even in 2015.

3. Consider giving what you can/ want to help me reach my goal by my birthday on Feb. 12.

4. Work to be grateful for what we have. None of us are probably wealthy or rich by our standards. But compared to most of the world we are. That's something to cherish.

5. Know that you are so important to me and I so appreciate you for helping me change the world, even if it's just one person's world at a time. :)
