This year I'm celebrating my birthday differently. I am not asking for presents but rather asking family and friends to help make the dream of water a reality for the 111 people that $5,000 can help.

Women and children around the world walk hours every day to a water source, which produces dirty water and makes them sick. Terrible, right? Well, for my birthday I'd love to try and do something about it. Just $20 can give a person clean water to drink that will completely change their life.

charity: water is an organization that is really special to me; throughout the past two years I have seen and experienced the amazing work that they do. First, during my trip to Tigray, Ethiopia, and secondly during my internship at their office in NYC. Every single person in the office puts their all into what they do and does it with the biggest smile possible. I love charity: water and the impact they make in the world.
It is incredible that 100% of the money raised will directly fund water projects around the world, and when those projects are complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the impact we made. I can't think of a better birthday gift.
