"Give thanks with a grateful heart..."

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Most years I like to hide my birthday, which isn't that hard to do since it's near Thanksgiving and everyone is travelling. But this year, (inspired by the example of a few friends) instead of hoping that everyone will forget it, I'm going to celebrate my 23rd birthday by giving thanks in blessing others who are truly in need. Will you celebrate and give thanks with me?

One thing that we in America often take for granted is access to clean drinking water. But in many parts of the world, the lack of clean, safe drinking water not only significantly reduces the people's quality of life, but contaminated water takes away thousands of lives every week. As we count our blessings this week, let us also see how we can be a blessing to others. What if this year we in America spent just a little less on Black Friday, so that we could give more to those who are really in need?
