Back in December 2009 I joined a family whose eight year old daughter was raising $5000 to provide people with clean drinking water through charity water. By eating rice and beans for that month I gave the money I saved to Riley for her goal. I was moved.
Lately I have found a passion for painting. I thought it would be awesome to use this "talent" to raise money to give people clean drinking water. I'm painting to give people something they absolutely cannot do without - the most basic of health needs.
Just $5,000 builds a well to serve a community of 250 people. My goal is to raise $1250 towards a well in the next three months (4 times to raise a total of $5000 in a year).
There's a lot of need in the world. I'm starting here. Will you join me?
