Women and children in Rwanda walk for hours every day, up and down mountains, just to collect water from rivers. The time spent collecting water is time a mother could be spending with her children, or working at a job, or time children could be learning or playing. And the water they collect is not clean and often makes them sick.

So instead of presents I'm asking everyone for donations to charity: water's September campaign (any amount - even $1.00 would be awesome!) which will fund water projects in Rwanda.

One hundred percent of the money raised goes directly to fund the Rwanda water projects, and when those projects are complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the impact we made!
