Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!
But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.
Please donate to my campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
Hello all the people, I would just like to say thank you to all the people that donated to this cause. The fast was really hard and an eye opening experience for a lot of us as it is ever year. It reminds us of how fortunate we are and how a lot of people don't realize and take for granted all that god has given them. I would say that around hour twenty five was the worst for me. We had already gone over a day without food and still had five more hours. Now granted five hours is not a long time but when all your energy is gone and you have nothing to do except complain about your hunger it becomes more like thirty hours. but the youth supported and held one another together. If I did this alone I can confidently say that I would not have made it. Thank you again for donating. My sister and I raised enough alone money to get seventeen people to have clean water and that is incredible.
