Water-related diseases kill more people annually than all the violence on the planet, including war. The worst part of all of this is that the water problem is entirely solvable.

The entire world could be provided with clean water for $10 billion per year. That’s roughly 2% of the annual defense budget for the United States.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean.

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But there are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections, and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me. I turned 24 on November 30th, so I’m asking for 50 of my friends to consider donating $24 to help provide the world with clean water. In total, that means our fundraising goal is $1200. If we hit that goal, we will be able to provide 40 people with clean water.
