I really have no need for presents so rather than buying me champagne I thought you might consider giving a much more valuable liquid, water, to those who really need it.
Charity:water is one of my favourite charities as not only is it a wonderful cause (it truly is a life-saver) but every penny raised goes directly to the water projects (Charity:water raises separate funds for admin etc, mainly from major corporations) and every penny makes a difference.
A water-well costs cUS$5,000 (£3,200) so if every couple coming to the party donates the price of a bottle of Bollinger (US$50 / £30) we can build one well (a vintage bottle might get us two!)
Please give what you can and I look forward to seeing you all on 21 April!
