Why Corrie Navis is fundraising for clean water

Right now, at the start of the 21st century, there are a billion people worldwide without access to clean, safe water for such basic needs as drinking, bathing, and growing crops for food. 80% of all diseases in the world are caused by unsafe drinking water and lack of sanitation. Millions of children die due to lack of clean drinking water.

When I learned that just $20 can give someone clean, safe water for two decades, I decided to start a campaign to help. $5,000 (the goal of this campaign) will pay for a well to be built somewhere in a developing nation where it is desperately needed. If we accomplish our goal, you'll be able to follow the water project's progress in the community where it is placed. Charity:water spends 100% of the money raised directly on the water projects, so the money goes where it's needed most.

If 250 people each give $20, we'll be able to provide a well to a community in desperate need of this vital resource. We'll need to raise this money within 3 months, so that charity:water can get the funds to where they're needed most. Even if we don't reach that goal, you'll still know that you made a significant impact on making safe, clean water universally accessible.

Will you help me?
