The current state of cryptocurrency is one of the most incredible opportunities any of us will likely participate in throughout our lifetimes. What we have is an innovative and paradigm breaking vehicle, and what’s so intoxicating and alluring is that immediately before us we have these critical check points that are leading cryptocurrency towards an evolutionary period that will determine the fate of an entire industry.

Except for a couple examples, the majority of new coins that have launched in the last 3 months have been successful at achieving only 2 things: profit and deterioration of our industry. We have been plagued by scams and copy cats for weeks. If we continue at this rate our greed will kill this beautiful system. Do not fool yourselves into thinking that Bitcoin and cryptocurrency are so innovative and superior that they will simply rise to their places at the top of the economic world. You need only remember Edison and Tesla to have a prime example of how the better ideas and technology do not always win.

It’s time for our community to actively choose an evolutionary path that leads to continued growth and wider spread acceptance. We must move beyond this period of stagnation. You can help. You can make a difference. How? By supporting only the most creative and innovative coins; and by making that choice not based on greed but thoughtful consideration.

Despite all that doom and gloom, it’s amazing to sit back and watch the crypto-community; at times there is so much goodwill and charity where people are donating their time, talents, and money. It has been inspiring to see coins and groups of people rally behind differing causes and make a difference. Experiencing it first-hand and participating has left such a lasting and profound impression on us that we could not stop thinking about how we can do more. For several weeks we met and discussed what we could do. We knew cryptocurrency offered an incredibly unique opportunity, you could see it in a few coins that were increasingly focusing on charitable endeavors. The community is inspired and motivated, ready for that positive evolution. We believe we can offer the first of many steps down that path.

Introducing The Clean Water Coin Initiative

Water is the single most important necessity of life. For some of us, access to clean drinking water is as easy as turning on your faucet. But for nearly 1 BILLION people, clean water just isn’t available. In most cases, men, women, and children have one single source of water that is so polluted and contaminated it has become a poison. As a result, more than 4,000 people die EVERY DAY! 9/10 of deaths that are a result of unsafe and contaminated water are children under the age of 5. It’s difficult to fully comprehend that kind of devastation. But focusing on stats and merely discussing the issues won’t help, it’s time to actively participate.

The Clean Water Coin Initiative is the first ever coin designed and developed to be a nonprofit organization. What does that mean? We are a registered 501(c) organization and we’ve teamed up with CharityWater.org to create a Crypto Charity and coin that lets a community actively participate in helping provide clean water.
