Hi! I'm Cindy Agoncillo, an almost-30-year-old graphic designer from Pennsylvania. My original goal for this milestone birthday was to check off every item on my "30 by 30" bucket list—a list of 30 things I wanted to accomplish by my 30th birthday. But now I have just one goal I want to accomplish: WATER BY 30.

For my 30th birthday, I want to fund a clean water project by raising $10,000 for charity: water, and I'm donating my birthday to reach this goal. No cards or presents this year — just your support to help the 663 million people around the world without access to clean water.

$10,000 seems like a lofty goal, but I believe in the power of community and the ability we have to work together for good. So throughout May, I will be inviting 30 of my own communities—from my local neighbors and family to my Internet friends and fandoms—to join me in supporting the work of charity: water around the world. Instead of sending me gifts or cards, consider celebrating my 30th birthday by donating to my campaign or sharing with your own communities how we can help change the world.
