Last year, we raised over $1000 for clean water together as a Tufts community. So I thought it would be nice to bring it back this year and allow more people to spend Christmas a little differently!

At Tufts, we talk about social justice a lot. For some of us, it's a huge reason why we're even at this school. So let's live it out and give generously this Christmas.

More than a billion people are living without clean drinking water on our planet. Some walk miles every day to get to an often unclean water source. As a result, about 30,000 people die each week from water-related diseases. Most are kids under five years old.

I hope that as a Tufts community, we can raise $2000 by the end of the year. Just $20 can give someone access to clean water. If we can get just 100 people to participate, we'll reach our goal!

100% of every dollar raised will go directly to water projects. And when the projects are complete, charity: water will show us GPS coordinates, photos and other details about the communities we've helped. Together, we'll be able to see the impact we've made.
