Many of us have no idea what it's like to not have access to clean water. We have plenty of clean water to drink and use however we want -- even the water in our toilets is clean.

However, more than 750 million people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign for my birthday to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me accomplish my fundraising goal.

This year, instead of a birthday present I'm asking that you please donate to my fundraising campaign. The suggested donation is $50, but anything you can give is a huge help.

Charity: water has benefactors who cover their overhead costs, so 100% of the money donated will be used to build clean water projects. And when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.

Once the project is complete, I intend to travel to the location and visit the village where our project was implemented.

Whether you're a relatively new friend or one of my longest-time friends or family, I'm grateful to have you in my life, and I appreciate your friendship, love, and support.
