For my 30th birthday I only want 2 things:
1. A new keychain pocket knife
2. To help provide clean water to people that need it
And I think my wife got me the pocket knife!
So let's talk about clean water.
I think it's safe to say that most of us take clean water for granted. Here in Minnesota, there are so many lakes and rivers, it's hard NOT to take it for granted.
But there are a billion people in the world without access to clean water and we can help some of them. Watch the video on the right side of your screen to learn more.
I know that $5,000 sounds like a lot of money and that's because it is. But it's only 5,000 people donating $1.
You might think 5,000 people is a lot of people.
It used to be. I think the internet has changed that.
If we bump it up to $5 each, we only need 1,000 people. And I bet at least one of you reading this has 1,000 friends on Facebook.
We can do this, I just need your help spreading the word.
Because of charity: water's unique model, 100% of all donations go directly to direct water projects costs, and each donation is "proved" and tracked to the village it helped when projects are complete.
All donations are tax-deductible.
Best Birthday Ever!
