We all take so much for granted, everyday of our life. And for this reason, I feel so extremely fortunate that my very good friend Brant Cryder introduced me Scott Harrison, the founder of charity : water, almost three years ago.

I remember sitting with Scott at the SoHo Grand and listening to him tell me about the time he spent working on a Mercy ship, and how he compared the lines of people seeking medical attention to those lining up for American Idol auditions. He then went on to explain that many of the people seeking help had extreme
deformities primarily from drinking contaminated water and that his organization was going to help by delivering clean water.

You could say that he had me at hello.

Scott's journey has truly been amazing and his commitment to changing lives is one that should inspire us all. However, one of the things I have found the most rewarding about charity: water is how it has brought me and many of my friends together to share in this experience.

Since Brant's introduction, I have seen many of my closest friends and their children (my second well was co-sponsored by a 7ry old) get involved with charity: water. And this month I will be joining Scott and another close friend, Art Bilger, on a trip to Ethiopia to see first hand how our time and commitment can change lives.
