On January 14th, I turned 40, which is very fortunate because millions of people don't live to see their fifth birthday. And why? Because they don't have access to clean, safe water.

For my birthday this year, I hoped to make a difference this year in hundreds of other people's lives. I'm asking for $40 (or more, if possible) from everyone close and dear to me -- and every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund clean water projects in developing nations. By the way, your gift is 100% tax deductible. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll be able to see the communities we've helped!
