Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink, pools to swim in, and even Brita filters to make clean water even cleaner.
However, 1 in 10 people in the world does not have access to these luxuries. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. Women walk 4 hours a day to provide water that isn't even clean. But it doesn’t have to be that way!
We are are 2 of the 5 participants running for charity:water in this year's NYC Marathon and we couldn't be more excited. We became inspired to run for them after reading the founder's book, Thirst, and becoming Spring members. With our $20,000 goal, we will be able to give 666 people access to clean water!
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
We want you to be apart of this with us while we train, raise money, and ultimately run a freakin' marathon. We are going to make this as fun and interactive as we possibly can so you can be as proud as we are to give over 600 people access to clean water so they can live happy, healthy, fruitful lives.
Thank you!
