I'll start with this: Charity:Water is not bullshit (like so many other charities are). I wouldn't be involved if it were anything less than 100% genuine and effective. I even went to Africa this month to check out the projects myself. They do amazing work and I'm proud to donate part of our wedding registry to the cause.
This month I got to see first hand how dramatically a clean water well can improve the standard of living in a rural community. It not only eradicates disease but it allows children to go to school instead of hauling water all day from a distant source.
A donation to this cause toward building a clean water well for a community that lacks any clean drinking water would be very meaningful to Christina and I.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 for our wedding campaign. That equals an entire brand new well in a rural community of hundreds of people!
Just $20 can change someone's life there, and 100% of the money we raise will directly fund charity: water projects in the field. When those projects are complete, we'll all get photos and GPS coordinates to see the lives we changed together.
C&A...This is the best wedding gift idea I've seen so far. So proud of you both for giving us a chance to make a contribution in your spirit. We love you and wish you more peace, happiness and laughter in your new life together.
LOVE, P&R
Thank you so much we all enjoyed your wedding.
