Greetings CWE Donors & Fellow Givers:
The remote areas of Ethiopia are drinking muddy and bacteria-ridden water. Streams and rivers are either contaminated or nonexistent. In Ethiopia, to drink "water" means to travel miles away from home. To drink "water" means to be sick with cholera or dysentery. To drink "water" means to hunt from village to village for one ensera's worth of water. I'm Abigail Besufekad, an Ethiopian-American high school junior and starter of Charity Water for Ethiopia, who believes that to give pure water means to give a better life to a human being.
