I am so excited and honored to be running the 2024 New York City Marathon with the charity: water non-profit organization.

Marathon running is a strange thing. Like life, it is full of ups and downs, trials and tribulations. It will test you, but ultimately, it will inspire others and hopefully, inspire yourself.

Running is a privilege. Having access to clean water is not. I feel strongly that clean and safe drinking water should be available to everyone and charity: water's mission is to do just that.

Throughout the years, I’ve run 17 marathons (and finally made it to Boston this past year). Each race has presented its own unique challenges but more importantly opportunities to learn, grow and aspire to become a better person. In these years I’ve learned that life is so much larger than ourselves.

So with a simple question, I ask...

What would you do for clean water? For the 703 million people living without it, the answer is anything. And they do: they walk miles every day, in treacherous conditions and extreme heat, just to access water that makes them sick — or worse.

That’s why I’m doing this fundraiser. charity: water challenged me to do something to help those who would do anything for water that’s safe to drink. The $10k goal was set because it will fund an entire water project. How amazing is that?
