A few months ago, while looking at one of my favorite artist's website, I came across this non-profit organization - charity:water.

I learned that millions of people around the world do not have access to clean water. I was saddened by the thought that many children do not get to live past the age of five because they die due to the unsafe water and their unhygienic living conditions.1 in 8 people in our world do not have access to this basic human need. The people that do survive have to walk miles to the nearest water source just to get unsafe water which brings repercussions to their health sooner or later.

It is a great privilege and a wonderful blessing to say that I will be turning 25 this year and I have decided to give up my birthday for charity:water. It has been sitting heavy in my heart for a long while now and it is finally time to act on it.

So instead of giving me a birthday present, you can donate to my charity:water. 100% of the proceeds will go to clean water projects in developing nations.

It will bring me great joy and it would be the greatest birthday gift to know that together, we are helping people get clean water.
