From the 9th to the 14th of April, an intrepid band of relatively unfit individuals will be cycling approximately 600km from Perth to Albany, in the South West of Western Australia.
There'll be punctures and repairs and hills and headwinds, but we will definitely have access to clean water, and we're going to need it.
This campaign exists because we recognise that our struggles will pale in comparison to the daily lives of others, and that everyone, everywhere, deserves water.
If you have the capacity to donate some money that would be great, but if you don't or don't wish to that's okay too. Either way please share this campaign with your friends and give them the opportunity to hear about the brilliant work being done to bring water to those who desperately need it.
The fundraising target is $1500 - let's blow it out of the... water.
Grace and peace,
Le Tour de Southwest Organising Committee.
P.S. As an added fundraising incentive for those who like to inflict or witness pain, one particularly hirsute member of the team (Tim White) will be having his chest waxed at the $500 mark as a symbol of his dedication to ridiculous cycling behaviours. Video evidence will be provided.
Go Tim! Putting your body on the line - in more ways than one! All the best with the ride.
A little something for undue pain and suffering. Good luck to you, Kyle and the group.
