charity: water is one of my favorite charities and for my 25th birthday I am asking for donations instead of gifts.
Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!
But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. There are 663 million people on the planet who don't have clean water. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
Anything you can give is a huge help. 100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects. When they say 100% they mean it! No money donated will be used for operating costs because they have a great group of donors called The Well who take care of this. Not only will all of the money that you donate go towards funding a water project but when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
I would love for you to be able to share in all the good charity: water has done so far!
