There are 748 million people in the world living without access to clean water. Let's change that!
Every day, 1,400 kids die from water-related illnesses before they reach their 5th birthday. But we can change that, starting now.
I'm asking for my age in dollars (or more) from everyone I know. 100% of every dollar you donate to my birthday campaign will be used to build clean water projects in developing countries. charity: water funds their operating costs separately through a group of private donors, so 100% of all public donations will go directly to people in need.
And about 18 months after this campaign ends, charity: water will show us where and how every dollar we raised ended up helping in the field. We'll see GPS coordinates, photos and more details about the communities we've impacted.
For those of you who've donated in the past, thank you so much for your contributions. I hope the proof you've received from charity:water of the impact your contributions have already made will compel you to donate again this year.
