Last year friends helped me raise nearly $10,000. That money paid for a well at a school in Adiayfala, Ethiopia. In January, my two older daughters and I had the chance to see that will being drilled (video: http://tinyurl.com/cvtrtz). The next day we visited Tseykeme where we met a charming old nun (that's her with me and a chicken in the picture). She explained how hard it was to make food and to spend several hours each day fetching dirty water (video: http://tinyurl.com/nar2ch). That day, I promised to raise the money to build a well in Tseykeme.

On average it costs charity: water $5,000 to build a well - a hand dug well costs less and a borehole costs more. This well will have to be a borehole, so I'm trying to raise $10,000 to cover the full cost. Please help by making a donation or telling others. Thanks, Shawn
