My friends know I have a lot of goals before my 30th birthday. It's called my 101 Things in 1001 Days list and #69 is to donate my birthday to charity: water.

I have been following charity: water and the efforts of the organization for a long time and have always wanted to help in some way. Problems seem so small when you think about how many kids around the world are dying because of their lack of clean water. Donating my birthday is a natural opportunity to make a difference but I need your help.

I'm asking my friends for any donation that they feel comfortable with. If you're unsure, I'm turning 28 this year so maybe $28.00 is good for you? Regardless, I'm happy because anything you do helps me reach my goal.

Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.
