There are 800 million people in the world living without access to clean water. Let's change that!

If we've met through the usual bout of me having to explain my name to you, you'll probably have already heard my birth story -- that I was born in a refugee camp in Thailand before relocating to the States with my family a few months after.

Had my family and I stayed in that camp, we would have never had guaranteed access to clean water. I may have never had access to free education, I may have never crossed paths with you as a fellow peer, creative, you name it. But thankfully we were given the opportunity to immigrate.

And now I have the opportunity to invite you to help charity: water build water relief projects for our fellow brothers and sisters across the globe. What does that really mean in real-talk? It means: 100% of your donation goes directly towards helping build wells, latrines, and other running-water facilities in communities that currently have little to no access to clean water. By supporting this or any of charity: water's campaigns, you are also empowering youth, women entrepreneurs, leaders, and communities. You become part of not just a progressive movement, but part of a solution.

So what a way to celebrate a birthday and the start of a new year? Let's do this!
