goal
In just 7 days (November 2) I will be turning 26.
I know it's not a huge milestone but it's still up there, and while thinking about my birthday, I found out that millions of people don't live to see their 5th birthday. Simply because they didn't have access to clean, safe water.
Because of this, I'll be celebrating my birthday like never before.
My goal is to raise $5000 by my birthday on November 2nd. Why? $5000 is the cost of building a freshwater well in a village which provides 250+ people with clean drinking water.
I'm turning 26....So I'm asking everyone I know to give $26. OR...as of right now (10.26.10) I have 436 friends on Facebook. If 385 of those friends were to donate $13, that would be $5005!
$26 or $13, you pick...just know that every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund freshwater wells in developing nations. Even better, every dollar is "proved" when the projects are complete, and photos and GPS coordinates are posted using Google Earth.
I like water.
I couldn't live without water.
No ONE should have to.
My birthday will be the best ever if you can help me help others.
