Hello everyone!
My 21st birthday is right around the corner (this sunday) and this year I decided to do things a little differently :)
As I read more and more about the immense inequality when it comes to access to clean water and sanitation over the last years, I knew that I wanted to make a change. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. However there are solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
Not using this special day to raise awareness and to provide clean water seemed like a wasted opportunity to me. And sharing this mission with my friends and family and getting everyone involved will make me incredibly happy!
Please donate to my birthday campaign for clean water instead of buying me gifts -- anything you can give is a huge help.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
