Hi, my name is Nathan Hidajat. I go to 2nd grade at St. Cecilia School in Ames. This is my first charity: water campaign.

I’m giving up my 8th Birthday on April 12, 2011 to raise money to give people clean water so they can have a better and healthier life.

My goal is to raise $1000 and help 50 people to get clean water for the next 20 years!

Instead of a birthday party or presents, please donate to charity: water and help me reach my goal. Reaching my goal will make my Birthday this year my best Birthday ever!

I like charity: water because they will use your donation to save children like me and their Mom and Dad.

My Mom and Dad asked me what I can do to thank you for your donations. There are 2 things that I like to do – drawing and playing the piano.

$20 will give 1 person clean water for the next 20 years! If you donate $20, my Mom and Dad will help me put your name in the Donors page on my web site and I will send you a nice drawing that I will make and sign. I will pay for the stamp from my own savings.

For every $100 of my goal reached, I will play the piano for Grandmas and Grandpas at the retirement home. If you donate $100, my Mom and Dad will help me put your name in the Donors page on my web site, I will send you 5 drawings that I will make and sign, and my Parents will take me to play at a retirement home in Ames, IA or Des Moines, IA that you choose.

Following what charity: water is doing, I will also give you Proof! I will take a picture of the drawings that I make and my Mom and Dad will put it in the Proof page on my web site. My Mom and Dad will also help me take a video when I play the piano for Grandmas and Grandpas at the retirement homes and they will help me put it in the Proof page on my web site so you can watch them.
