As i turn 21 i've been thinking about adulthood and what constitutes it- maturity in our thoughts? Words? Deeds even? Is turning 21 just a number up from 20? Or an entirely new phase in life where we start to 'move on' or 'grow up?'

I've never been a birthday person. I could live being 21 without the hype and celebration or even the acknowledgement of my adulthood, but i see this opportunity to make a real, DELIBERATE change somewhere else in the world where people may not even get to live to this age.

See, humans are like that- we have certain requirements to be fulfilled to live happily. Then, it gets fulfilled and we want more. Our strive for happiness never ends in this consumeristic society and we are never satisfied.

But strip all that away and we know we have what is required to survive. We have the basic fundamentals to live and breathe in this world, whereas here on this site, the reality is that kids / adults like you and I don't even have anything safe to drink.

let that thought sink in for a while- they can't satisty basic NEEDS like "i am cold" or "i am hungry". Here, its "i am thirsty."

Money is exchanged for what is valuable to us.
What do YOU place value in? Right here and now, for me, it is LIFE.
