I just attended the World Domination Summit 2012. It was the most amazing, connecting thing I've ever experienced and I'm inspired to keep the good stuff going. :)

At the conference, the founder of Charity:Water spoke. He told us the amazing story behind Charity:Water. He was a huge party guy in NYC, promoting nightclubs, making a ton of money, and yet super unhappy. Something needed to change. That led to the start of Charity:Water, which was kickstarted by a nightclub party where the entrance fee went to fund building wells. Partying turned meaningful.

Charity:Water builds water projects in places in the world where people have no clean water. When these communities get clean water, kids have time for school, parents have time to work and start businesses, disease and crazy tumors and such start going away. Check out the video to learn more.

Two things I really love about this charity:

1) The water problem is easily solvable. It's possible to get clean water everywhere in the world. It's a charity that actually only just needs money (not luck, science, compliance, or anything we don't already have). Plus, everyone wants clean water, needs it.

2) Literally 100% of public donations goes to water projects. Administrative costs are covered by private donations. When you donate, ALL of your money is going directly to building something that gives people clean water.

So - I'm celebrating my 27th birthday this year a little differently - by giving it up for Charity:Water. Want to "buy me a drink"?
