I'm giving away my 33rd birthday (5/21) this year to charity: water. This is a cause that I strongly believe in, as I can see them literally changing the world that we live in.

This is a first for me, in that I'm asking family, friends, and the social web for support, but every dollar counts and I'm hoping that I can convince some of you guys to help me give, to save lives. No one should have to live without clean water and more importantly, no one should have to die for the lack of.

I don't know of a clearer way to articulate this but dirty water is killing a few kids every minute of every day. It's that simple. $5 counts. Heck, even $1 counts.

Women and children around the world walk hours every day to collect water for their families. And the worst part is that the water they collect can make them really sick. But it doesn't have to be like this. We can actually do something about it. Just $20 can give a person clean water to drink.

If your heart and pockets are so willing, I'd so much appreciate your help on this one. I too will be giving, so anything that you can do to support, I would be forever grateful.

I can't think of a better birthday gift that someone could possibly give me. Please donate to this campaign, and help me save a few lives.

The best part of this is that 100% of the money we raise will directly fund water projects around the world, and when those projects are complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the impact we made.
