Today, August 27 is Lizet's 22nd Birthday! On September 23, Jose turns 24!
At first, this seemed surreal, even daunting.
But then we found out that millions of people don't live to see their 5th birthday. And why? Because they didn't have access to clean, safe water.
So we're not scared of turning 22 and 24 anymore. In fact, we're celebrating our birthday like never before.
We're asking for $10 from everyone we know - and every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund freshwater wells in developing nations. Even better, every dollar is "proved" when the projects are complete, and photos and GPS coordinates are posted using Google Earth.
Together, we've been blessed with 26 years. Our goal is to raise $920 (enough to provide water for 46 people) between our birthdays.
