Can I get 45 of my friends to give $45 for clean water (instead of buying me a 45th birthday present)?
Even though I grew up in a rural village in Nigeria, I was lucky enough to come from a family that could afford to make sure I always had clean water. Too many around me were not that lucky.
And even I, in my late teens, suffered from Tape Worm from drinking dirty water. Lucky again that I could get the best medical care, but many aren't so lucky.
So as I turn 45, I'm breaking with tradition of throwing a blowout party and instead I'm inviting my friends to join me to make Clean Water a reality by raising money for Charity:Water.
