My birthday is rapidly approaching, this year sharing with Thanksgiving. My parents will make the trip up, and aside from a great time with family, I can’t think of more than I’d want than to help with others. Gifts are nice to receive, but honestly, I’d much rather help those in need.

Last year for my birthday, we raised $853 and served roughly 42 people. In about 6 months we should be able to see via GPS where the help was, and even photographs of the project that the donations supported.

This year, I want to exceed last year, so I’m setting the goal a little higher than what was reached. Please consider trimming down on some discretionary spending and helping out. Better yet, help spread the word/awareness, and consider creative ways to start your own campaigns. I have another idea for a 3 month campaign starting January 1 – more to come later this year!
