This year I'm celebrating my birthday differently. I'd be lying if I said I don't like gifts - I do. But I have enough stuff. I also like drinks, but I can only handle about 2 drinks before I start to tell everyone how pretty they are, and how much I love them. So, instead of buying me a drink this year that I won't remember drinking - how about buying a drink of clean water for some one who needs it?
Women and children around the world walk hours every day to collect water for their families. And the worst part? The water they collect can make them really sick. Terrible right? Well, we can actually do something about it. Just $20 can give a person clean water to drink.
I will still tell you that you are pretty and that I love you!! It's win/win for all involved.
I'm turning 43 this year so my goal is to raise 875.00 - which will buy clean water for 43 people. I've already kicked in this first $43 dollars. Any amount you can give is totally awesome.
The best part is that 100% of the money we raise will directly fund water projects around the world, and when those projects are complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the impact we made. I can't think of a better birthday gift.
Please donate to my campaign, and make this the best birthday ever!
Happy birthday to a very generous lady! :)
Hope you had a wonderful birthday!
Happy Birthday Sister!!
Go Gretchen!! I love this stuff :)
I'm doing this for my mom, because the interwebs + credit cards = skeery. But it's really from her. (KK)
Happy Birthday Gretchen
