Today I will wake up, turn on my faucet, and out will come clean water.
Water I drink, water I use, and water I waste.
Today a billion people will wake up and live without clean water.

I want to do something about it.

So this year, I'm giving my birthday up.

All of my birthdays have always been about stuff.
Stuff I don't want,
Stuff I definitely don't need.
I have more than enough stuff.

I'm turning 27 this year, and instead of asking for gifts, I'm asking for donations from at least 27 people. All takes is $10 from 27 people, and my goal will be met.
It's not going to me, though. All of it is going to build freshwater wells for people in developing nations.

What your money can do
-$20 means one person can get clean water for 20 years
-$250 means two families of six can get clean water.
-$5,000 means clean water for a community of 250.

My birthday wish this year is not for more gifts I don't need; it's to give clean and safe drinking water to some of the billion living without it. I want to make my birthday matter this year.
